| Twelve Bridges Library, Willow Room 485 Twelve Bridges Drive Lincoln, CA 95648 http://www.libraryatlincoln.org The Lincoln Poets Club, with the support of the Friends of the Lincoln Library, holds an open mic on the second Sunday of each month of the year, January through November. Exceptions are made for holidays such as Easter and Mother's Day; the open mic will be the following Sunday. The October reading will be a reading by the poets who place in the annual Voices of Lincoln poetry contest. The guest poet for May 2007 is Katy Brown of Davis, California. She has won awards from the Ina Coolbrith Circle, the Berkeley Poets Dinner and the California Federation of Chaparral Poets, Inc. She has published poems in Daily Word, Glass Art, Harpstrings, Rattlesnake Review, Song of the San Joaquin and Wee Widsom. Her work book, Poetry Potions, was used in schools for nearly twenty years and has been released in digital format. She has also written automobile humor, greeting cards, a multiple-ending book and a series of short mysteries for young readers.
