Local pianist/promoter Jim Martinez brings together four top female vocalists for a Sacramento/Seattle DIVA Jazz Concert. Jim's Jazz Quartet will accompany the singers. The concert will take place Sunday, April 20, 2008. Shows start at 6:00 pm (doors open at 5:40 pm) and will take place at Shepherd of the Sierra Presbyterian Church, 5400 Barton Road in Loomis. The vocalists scheduled to perform are Laura Didier, Margie Ruiz, Donna McMahan and Gail Pettis. Pettis resides in Seattle and was named the 2007 NW Vocalist of the Year by the Earshot Jazz Society. Also featured in the concert will be saxophonist Joe Berry, bassist Bill Douglass & drummer Joey Ventitelli. The concert is presented by Invisible Touch Music.
