Fourth Annual Home Winemakers Competition and BBQ – Saturday, June 13, 2009 The Placer County Wine & Grape Association invites home winemakers to participate in their annual competition and barbeque. There will be approximately 16 judges in total, each wine will be judged by a panel of 3 qualified evaluators from wine marketing, food services and commercial winemaking. This year’s event will be held at 3690 Auburn Folsom Rd, Loomis, home of Doug and Ginna Geiger. The wine judging will take place on the morning of June 13th. The Placer Gold Wine Fest is open to members of the Placer County Wine & Grape Association as well as other home winemakers in the area. All interested persons are invited to join us at an afternoon BBQ that will begin at 1:00 p.m. We encourage you to bring your favorite wine to share. The competition wines will also be available for tasting after the judging. Join in this year’s BBQ by making your reservation early.
