Calling all classic movie lovers in Auburn, California! Join us in 2009 for Silver Screen's 13th year as we gather in the dark, laughing and weeping, finding adventure, chills, danger, and romance on the silver screen. Once a month in the Auburn Library, we delight at the shimmering images of stars such as Orson Welles, Norma Shearer, Walter Huston, Charlie Chaplin, Marlene Dietrich, Judy Garland, and Henry Fonda.
After 50, 60, even 80 years, these movies and their stars continue to amaze, delight, and entertain, and we continue to honor an age long gone but fondly remembered.
Presented by the Auburn Library, the movies are shown at 1, 4, and 7:30 p.m. in the Beecher Room of the library, at 350 Nevada St. in Auburn. Admission is free.
