A series of "Let's Talk" Community Forums are being held locally to provide information about pet issues. Each features a speaker well-respected in their field of expertise. The sessions are free, and will be held at the Applegate Civic Center, 18014 Applegate Road in Applegate. Each begins at 7 p.m. The forums are being presented through the support of the Placer County Animal Trust Fund by Friends of Placer County Animal Shelter, the Auburn Area Animal Rescue Foundation (AAARF) and Fieldhaven Feline Rescue. On Thursday, May 28, James Young, DVM will speak on "Pet Emergencies."
